Lessons learned in loss

Welcome

Welcome to my authentic pursuit.

One of the many qualities I admired about my Dad was his Steadfast Faithfulness. His lifelong pursuit of faith, hope, and trust in God was the perfect example for a son.

One of the many qualities I admired about my Sister was her resilience in the face of adversity. She Personified Resilience, and I respected her greatly.

One of the many qualities I admire about my Mom is how she has remained Compassionately Caring over the years. As a devoted mom, she loves deeply.

I am in the final stages of dealing with Grief Avoidance. Acceptance is an ongoing process which enabled me to re-frame my life and move forward with courage.

Over the years, my Youthful Optimism caused many Misguided Pursuits, which led to Disguised Desperation and feelings of Restless Frustration

Once I felt Justified in my Resentments, the Pain of Procrastination set in, which created an illusion. An Illusion of Failure had me believing I was hopeless.

In reality, lessons were learned in quiet Reflection, and now I seek solitude in the Word.  This Purposeful Solitude has allowed me to reconnect with God, get back to the basics, while Embracing Simplicity.

Getting back to the basics helped me become Harmoniously Hopeful, as I approach each day focused on purpose, guided by faith, honoring my dad’s lessons every step of the way. Always Honor Humbleness. Receptive Listening is key, and never forget that Compassion Empowers humanity.

If you understand these basic truths, a Personal Transformation will occur, fundamentally changing your life. Over the next few months, I’ll share a few of these lessons learned in hopes of helping you understand that it’s never too late to become who God created you to be.

“Welcome to a collection of lessons learned, anecdotes from characters along the way, and a man driven by an authentic pursuit to honor his father’s legacy. It’s never too late to become who God created you to be.”
